Welcome to the landing page for my Physics for Physiotherapy Technology content.

Current Semester - fall 2022

Textbook: [download]
This text is distributed under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA licence. I will always make this available for free, and you are permitted to print hard copies if you want. But this is a work in progress, so it is best to bookmark this page and read the PDF straight from here.

Exercises: [Clean] [Solutions]
I have split this into two files so that you can be working on the problems without seeing the solutions first, but then switch to seeing the solutions.

The Physiotherapy Technology program has undergone a revision that begins this year. Consequently the way in which several topics will be approached, covered, and worked on will differ significantly from previous semesters. Because of that I expect to be revising these Exercises on an almost weekly basis, with those exercises being what we will be working on in class. Rather than downloading them it will be best to read the files from here directly, so that you will always see the most recent version.

For those chapters and sections in my text that are not completed, consider reading the free College Physics textbook at OpenStax: link. The correspondence between our course (the chapters in my textbook) and the OpenStax text's chapters and sections are as follows:
ch subject OpenStax (ch.sec)
0 Preparation
1.2, 3.2, 3.3
1 Forces 4.4, 4.5, 5.1, 9.1
2 Torques 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 9.5, 9.6
3 Materials 5.3
4 Energy 7, 10.4, 13.1, 14 (except 14.3)
5 Waves 16.2, 16.9-11, 11.3, 17.1-3, 17.6-7
6 Electricity 18.1, 18.2, 19.1, 20, 21.1

The source files for the text are available. Eventually I will get them hosted in way that can be browsed by anyone and downloaded. Perhaps someplace like GitHub?
